My Dog is Limping in the Winter – Does he have dog arthritis?

Many owners may notice their dogs limping in the winter, especially if the dogs have a chance to go both in and out of the house quite a bit.

There is a possibility that this is arthritis, especially if your dog is getting older as the cold weather will seep in its bone and make it harder for it to get around.

There is also a likelihood that the dogs paws are cracking, or getting scratched up.  Especially if there is a lot of jagged ice and hard pack snow, it will crack animal paws, making the dog limp(which can be mistaken for arthritis).

To remedy the situation apply lotion and salve, cover so it doesn't get licked or gnawed off and start clothing the pet's paws with dog boots like Polar Paws or Muttluks.  Your dog will thank you.
